Fang Yuan. Or Lao Tu （Rustic)for his nickname. Was born in Tongling of Anhui Province in 1965. He is a contemporary capable painter and crafts man. He is a member of Tongling Fine Artists' Association. Member of Jingdezhen Fine artists' Association. Member of Jiangxi Arts and Grafts. Association and member of China Fine Artists' Association Anhui Branch. He learnt painting from his father when he was a little child. In 1985.he went to the Arts Academy of the PLA. He has a unique style with delicate composition, skilful techniques and far-reaching poetic concept. He is good at grasping sounds, colors, movements, and quietness of nature; He applies realistic modern oil painting to ceramic artistic creation so that his works are vivid and gorgeous. His landscape makes the read feel as if he himself is in the scene the beasts he paints are extremely lifelike, quite distinguishing from others in the ceramic circle. His works have been exhibited at home and abroad, and have won a lot of prizes, quite popular with domestic and overseas collectors. |
