景德镇是个全世界都知道的老地方。那里的陶瓷作坊星罗棋布,随便一个小巷子里走出二、三个人来,便有一位陶瓷艺人。李林洪先生就生活在那样一个环境里。很自然,他会选择陶板去介入自己的绘画领域。
从外表看李先生,平常,一张圆脸,两边分开的头发,思考时烟抽得猛,有一点三十年代文人的架势。说起话来也不见圆通。但提笔写出一手好字,会突然使你感受到他的内力和对艺术的机敏。李先生还有点古道热肠,称自己为“牧石”,表示自己和春秋战国时的苏武一样有抱负,为求理想而矢志不移。早年的李先生由于经历的原因,油画、水彩画、版画乃至壁画样样都作,且做的都很地道(为他以后的博采众长的陶版画风格打下了坚实的基础)。到了中年,定下心去追随黄宾虹,好像是为了求取一份成熟,或者说有了一个成熟的境界。八十年代中期,欧洲的现代艺术如大潮一般浸润了中国的大地,使每一位中国艺术家均处在十字路口、进退维谷。李先生也不例外。他苦思冥心了一阵子,知道老夫子是做不得了,于是便着手开始了他的陶版画的研究。传统的瓷版画也许颇有文物的价值,但从今天的意义上说,实在没有多少可建树的地方,单调乏味,可见沿袭是解决不了问题的。但陶板这一特殊的材质却正好和现代西方特别是后现代艺术追求多材质创作的这一特征相吻合,真是一种天意,李先生觅到了一个“契机”。接下去便是如何丰富陶板画的色彩表达,以求达到它的当代性。经过风风雨雨的很多年的反复试验、取样,李先生靠他的信念,使景德镇那传统的一把火终于开始和他共舞。
走进李先生的陶板画世界,会令人有些眩目,那恢宏的天地万象似乎都成了他的麾下,信手拈来,挥手即去,像当年三国诸葛亮孔明演绎八卦图一样如有神助;一会儿是“极目楚天舒”,一会儿是“一马平川”;一会儿是涉险旷古的极地,一会儿又徜徉在宋朝的山水之间。且形象质感非常逼真,又不失古之遗风和现代构成。
李先生凭他那仅有50公分见方的陶板,随随便便就纵横了千万里,跨越了几千年,让我想想就要恭维他。
李先生无疑是景德镇陶瓷学院里的一位出类拔萃的教授。

Preface
Jin De Zhen is
a well-known place in the world, where there are plenty of works shops
for pottery making. There is one maker among two or three persons
walking out of any lane, where Mr. Li Lin Hong lives in. It is very
natural that he chose pottery plate as own painting field.
Mr. Li, with
normal appearance, round face, separated hair into two parts, smoking
strong, looks like literati in 30’s years. Without tactless talking,
when he writes down excellent calligraphy, it is suddenly making, you
concern his interior power and artistic sensitivity. Apart from it, he
is very kind, called himself as “Mu Shi”, that means himself with same
ambition as Su Wu in Chun Qiu Zhan Guo era has, in order to chase
ideals, Mr. Li in his earlier times made all kinds of painting,
including oil painting watercolor painting and engraving. etc. and
very skillful. (it is for his present pottery painting). Until his
middle age, he made up to chase Mr. Huang Bin-hong, as it to acquite a
kind of mature. In the middle of 80’s years, European modern art
penetrated whole of China, like tide up, making all Chinese artists
standing on the cross roads, for choice of forward or backward. Mr Li
is no exception. He started to research pottery engraving. traditional
porcelain plate painting might be has value of cultural relio, but no
more space to develop. However, pottery plate’s specific material is
right match with western modern trend, especially later modern art in
special material. Mr Li found an opportunity, later to find out how to
express color on pottery plate, in order to achieve “modern”. After
many trials and sampling, depending on Mr. Li’s confidence, he is
successful.
It is no doubt
that Mr. Li an outstanding professor in Jin De Zhen Pottery College.
