In combination with blue and white technology, Zhang Xuewen always adopts various decorative mediums and other technical methods. He has created a large number of decorative artworks of blue and white with underglaze red, blue and white Doucai, blue and white on color glazed wares, blue ＆ white with colorde painting, blue and white with carved and incised decoration. He combines his individual new color decoration with Doucai art. He often adopts carefully drawn motifs of branch leaves on the simple but elegant blue and white. The head of flowers applied in his Doucai works are very refined in tone. The mix of underglaze and overglaze decoration is sharply contrasted, harmonious in cold and warm colors.
